when you feel challenged by nurture, this is why: You are doing something profound. You are building countless brain cells and receptors in your baby’s brain with your brain.
— Dr Greer Kirshenbaum, PhD, neuroscientist

As a Child Health Nurse and Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC) Accredited Practitioner, I provide:

» Realistic infant sleep guidance grounded in neuroscience and infant development - not sleep-training myths. We acknowledge human infant's dependence on adults and the biological sleep needs. We focus on optimising your baby’s sleep within the context of feeding, regulation, and environment. Safe cosleeping advice is available.

» Feeding and lactation - including deep breastfeeding knowledge, pumping, and formula. Identifying potential issues, and normalising infant feeding behaviours, as well as introducing solids with your baby’s developmental readiness. Antenatal session available.

» Support for unsettled babies & cry-fuss behaviour - investigative approach into baby’s cues and behaviour using the NDC framework. Together we work to understand your baby’s sensory nourishment needs.

» Emotional support, acceptance and commitment therapy - a space to be heard as you process the highs and lows of parenting.

» Mother & baby health considerations in the postpartum context.

Individual Consultations

You want help with one-two of the above issues, or an Antenatal Breastfeeding Education consult. Individual consults are conducted in your home where the magic happens.

  • 60 min - $85
    Conducted around 37 weeks gestation

If breastfeeding is important to you - listen up. Many mums report the one thing they wish they learned about more before baby came was… you guessed it!

My antenatal breastfeeding education session is designed to set you up for the best possible start, with a focus on realistic, evidence-based support.

In many cases, breastfeeding education within the hospital system is minimal - often covering only the absolute basics and leaving out a lot. Maternity wards are understaffed and busy - breastfeeding is often not prioritised. We explore knowledge you might not have considered and how to actively protect it in the crucial hours after birth.

You’ll walk away with increased knowledge, confidence, and clarity around your options and decisions. You’ll receive practical resources and a breastfeeding plan to give to your birth provider (kind of like a birth plan, but for breastfeeding!).

My lactation education is informed by my clinical background & lactation study as well as lived experience - having breastfed my own children including both exclusive breastfeeding and exclusive pumping - so I understand the nuances of what this journey can look like.

  • 60 min - $120

Baby sleep, feeding, regulation, mental & physical health, and wellbeing are integrated. Feel empowered instead of lost as you come to understand your strengths and your baby’s unique sensory needs.

NDC-aligned care means we avoid the frequent overmedicalisation of normal infant behaviour, and subsequent intervention. We don’t automatically pathologise (view or treat something as medically/physically/psychologically abnormal) sleep, crying, feeding or development. Oftentimes, what feels like a problem (or what you’re made to feel like is a problem), is normal developmental variation.

That doesn’t mean you’re left to “just cope”. We work together to optimise your situation, find respectful, workable solutions in ways that feel sustainable - whilst also screening for genuine medical concerns when needed.
